Import Mobile Contacts

Import your phone contacts directly into SAGA with just a few taps. Works on both iOS (Safari) and Android (Chrome) devices.

💡 You can import your phone contacts into SAGA in two easy ways — it just depends on how you're using SAGA right now:

  • 📱On your phone? You can import directly from your mobile contacts.

  • 💻 On your computer? No problem — you can upload your contacts via a file.

Both options are quick and simple. Choose the method that works best for you and follow the steps below.

📱 I'm on my phone

Before starting importing your contacts from your phone, there’s few step you need to complete! This is crucial, otherwise the import won’t succeed!

I’m using an iPhone

Before starting the import you’ll need to make sure:

  • you are using the Safari Browser to navigate

  • you enabled the Contact Picker API

To enable it just follow these simple steps

  1. Navigate to your phone Settings ⚙️.

  2. Type “Safari” in the search-bar🔎

  3. Tap on “Safari”

  4. Scroll to the bottom and tap “Advanced”

  5. Tap Feature Flags 🚩

  6. Search the Contact Picker API and turn it ON ✅

  7. Now go back to SAGA and hit the “refresh” button! 🔄

    🏁 You are ready to go!

I’m using an Android

Before starting the import you’ll just need to make sure:

  • you are using the Chrome Browser to navigate

How to import from mobile:

Now you can start the import process

Step 1: Navigate to SAGA > Contacts > Add new contact

Go to your Contacts Page in SAGA and click on the button +

Go to your Contacts  

Step 2: Import Contacts

Select 'Import Phone Contacts'

Step 3: Open Contacts
Click on Open Contacts to open the contacts App of your Iphone

Make sure you looked at the requirements for your specific phone ⬆️

Step 4: Choose Contacts

Manually select the contacts you want to import and press "OK" or “Done”

Step 5: Assign other Info

  • Assign 1 or more labels to the contacts you are importing

  • Assign a specific Membership or a Step to the contacts you are importing

Step 6: Review your selection

You can select some of them and delete, so they won’t be imported.

Then click “Import Contacts”

💻 I'm on my laptop

In order to upload your phone contacts to your SAGA from desktop, you’ll have to

  1. Export a .vcf file on your phone

  2. Send it to your laptop

  3. Upload it to SAGA

Step 1: Download your contacts from your device or account:

Export your contacts using contacts App, following these instructions

I have an Android

Export your contacts to a file from your phone’s Contacts app following these instructions

Step 2: Send the file to your laptop

Step 3: Upload file on SAGA

  • Navigate to SAGA, Contacts, and click on “Upload Contacts”

  • Select 'Mobile Contacts'

  • Choose the .vcf file

Step 4: Keep or Delete Contacts

You may encounter unknown contacts; it is up to you whether to keep them as they are or remove them, along with any other contacts you don't wish to upload.
Select any contact you might want to delete and click the delete button!

Step 5: Well Done!

You now have all your desired contacts imported. Existing contacts will be updated accordingly, and you will be notified of any changes.

Note: contacts with no naming will not be uploaded

Import contacts from Google

Google Contacts: If you use an Android phone or have a Gmail account, your contacts are likely synced with Google Contacts.

To download them:
- Go to Google Contacts
- Click ‘Export’ in the sidebar
- Choose ‘vCard (for iOS Contacts)’ or ‘CSV’ format
- Download the file to your computer

Once you have the file, follow the same instructions for the upload on desktop:
Retrieve the downloaded file and upload it into SAGA. Delete the contacts you don’t want to upload, hit the upload button and you’re done!
